World-renowned for its ground fighting techniques and adaptive strategies, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches students to defend themselves from the worst possible positions. Students learn to overcome size, strength, and their own personal limitations by altering techniques and approaches based on the given situation and their opponent’s reactions. A belt system subdivided by stripes provides students a series of short-term and long-term goals. Sparring is not required within the class but is highly encouraged.
